During a comprehensive exam, our doctors can identify whether a routine prescription or another visual issue may be contributing to your child’s difficulties. If additional testing is appropriate, we can discuss those options with you and recommend the next step.
I would not make claims like “vision problems cause poor grades” or “vision therapy fixes learning disabilities.” You don't need them. This language is much more credible.

We know that medical visits can feel intimidating for children. Our team takes the time to explain testing in age-appropriate language, answer questions, and help children feel comfortable throughout their visit.
Parents are encouraged to share any concerns they have noticed at home or school, including headaches, reading difficulties, changes in vision, or a family history of eye problems.
