Sports Vision Training

Train the visual skills behind faster reactions, better awareness and more efficient decision-making.

In Sports over 80% of all perceptual input is visual. However, most athletes and trainers never even think about training or improving an athlete's visual system past getting glasses or contacts. To us, glasses and contacts are just the bare minimum anyone should address. We work to improve an athlete's optical system (your eyes) and perceptual system (your brain).

THE CONCEPT

Athletes Train Their Bodies. Why Not Their Visual System?

Athletes continuously take in visual information, decide what matters and respond. Sports vision training targets the visual and perceptual skills involved in that process.

MORE THAN 20/20

Clear Vision Is the Starting Point — Not the Finish Line

An athlete may have excellent eyesight and still have opportunities to improve visual tracking, peripheral awareness, processing speed, reaction performance and visual-motor coordination.

Sports vision training is designed to challenge those performance skills under increasingly demanding conditions.

PERFORMANCE SKILLS

What We Measure & Train

Eye Tracking

Accurately following moving players, objects and targets.

Reaction & Response

Seeing a stimulus, making a decision and responding efficiently.

Peripheral Awareness

Recognizing relevant information outside central vision while maintaining attention on the play.

Visual-Motor Coordination

Coordinating visual information with hands, feet, body position and movement.

Visual Processing

Quickly interpreting changing visual information.

Focus & Visual Endurance

Maintaining efficient visual performance as speed, movement and demand increase.

BASELINE TESTING

Measure Before You Train

Every athlete should begin with a baseline evaluation. We assess relevant visual and perceptual skills, identify opportunities for improvement and use those findings to create an individualized training plan.

Later testing allows us to compare performance over time rather than relying only on how training feels.
