Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation
Helping restore how the eyes and brain work together after concussion, neurological injury, and visual dysfunction.
Neuro-optometric rehabilitation focuses on visual problems that can occur when the eyes and brain are no longer working together efficiently. Patients may experience difficulty with eye tracking, focusing, reading, motion, balance, visual processing, headaches, dizziness, or visually demanding environments.
Lynn Family Vision uses objective testing and individualized therapy to identify impaired visual functions, target treatment, and measure progress over time.
WHAT IS NEURO-REHABILITATION?
Vision Is More Than Seeing 20/20
Clear eyesight is only one part of the visual system. The eyes must move accurately, maintain focus, work together, track objects, process movement, and communicate efficiently with the brain.
Concussion, traumatic brain injury, neurological conditions, and other forms of visual dysfunction can disrupt these systems even when the eyes themselves appear healthy.
Neuro-optometric rehabilitation evaluates these functional visual systems and uses targeted treatment to help improve how the eyes, brain, and body work together.

WHO MAY BENEFIT?
Could Neuro-Visual Dysfunction Be Contributing?
Post-Concussion Symptoms
Dizziness
Difficulty Focusing
Eye Tracking Problems
Visual Motion Sensitivity
Busy Environment Intolerance
Reading Intolerance
Screen Intolerance
Balance/Coordination
Headaches
Visual Fatigue
Return to Work/School/Sport
These symptoms can have many causes. A neuro-optometric evaluation helps determine whether visual dysfunction may be contributing.
OBJECTIVE EVALUATION
What We Evaluate
Eye Tracking
How accurately the eyes follow moving targets.
Focusing
How effectively the eyes adjust and maintain clear vision at different distances.
Visual Motion
How comfortably the visual system handles movement and visually busy environments.
Saccades
How quickly and accurately the eyes move from one target to another.

Eye Teaming
How well both eyes coordinate and work together.

Balance & Coordination
How visual information interacts with movement, posture, and spatial awareness.

Fixations
The ability to maintain stable visual attention on a target.
Visual Processing
How efficiently the brain interprets and responds to visual information.
Reaction & Response
How efficiently the visual system identifies and responds to changing information.
TREATMENT
What Does Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Look Like?
Tracking & Processing
Eye movements & visual attention.
Visual-Motor Coordination
Vision combined with movement.
Reaction & Decision Making
Identify and respond to visual information.
Progressive Visual Demand
Increase challenge as tolerance improves.
